Downtown Tampa Parking Garages

A sample of the parking garages found downtown. Our obsessive devotion to cars is one of my few real complaints about Tampa. I’ve seen schools in Florida that were little more than shacks on grassy lots. But we love our parking garages.

That there first one is a dandy’un, though. A real thing of beauty.
And, schools? We don’t need no more dang schools. They’s plenty of ‘em on them there grassy lots. Book learnin’s way over rated anyway here in the land that Scott bought.
Wasn’t it Joni who sang, and I paraphrase, “…they paved paradise and put up a parking lot”?
Your photos inspired me to break out into song. Sorry, I will try to contain myself in the future.

Don’t contain yourself, I like it when you break into song.
