Lozano Cigar Factory – Tampa Casket Company
The Lozano Cigar Factory in Ybor City was built in 1905 and was home to F. Lozano, Son and Company, Inc. Lozano occupied the building until the early 1920s, but I’ve read conflicting information about the other cigar makers that operated here.
Around 1941, the building was leased to the Tampa Casket Company, which operated there until 1970. Since 2005 the building has been occupied by the nonprofit Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research.
