Ybor Dancer
I recently had the opportunity to photograph Cindy, a Bay Area model and dancer. We went to the scenic Tampa neighborhood of Ybor City, and Tampa’s own Starr Czervanka handled Cindy’s hair and make-up. The photo below is in the outside lobby of The Ritz Ybor, a former movie theater and now a venue for concerts and other events.
The photos below were taken outside a nightclub called The Castle. This is apparently a well-known club but I had never seen it until a couple of weeks ago. It has the appearance of an older building, but so far I can’t find anything about the history of the building.
Below, some shots outside of what used to be the Buddha Lounge, an Asian restaurant that did not remain open very long.
Cindy has the grace and athleticism you would expect of a ballet dancer and it was great fun to photograph her in this historic setting. Starr’s hair and make-up work contributed a lot to the final photographs. See these and more images from the photo shoot at my Flick page.
