Independence From Oil Day
Several dozen bicyclists celebrated July 4 by holding an “Independence From Oil Day” ride through Tampa. The photo above shows the start of the ride in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park downtown. It was a gloomy day in Tampa but encouraging to see a statement of sustainability. Most of the cyclists rode their bikes to the event, or at least carpooled.
